AZURE LOCATION OUTSIDE QUENDI. COURT UNSEELIE. FLAG FIRE NATION. DEFENSE ORCS. MOTTO NEVER GIVE UP. RESIDENTS ZUKO. lord dumbass. he's in charge of azure; all issues, concerns, comments, and attempts to embarrass someone always fall on his shoulders. (mina and lee say he was officially declared leader when he assisted them months ago.) SOKKA. officially made chief in october 2,701, he is the second in command. beloved by all for his poor jokes and puns, the villagers often honour sokka with snow down his shirt during the winter months. MINA. ( NPC. ) she's the true chief of azure. she often lets lee deal with the issues as she doesn't wish to establish a rigid chain of command within a rather lax village. she is lithe and short, but an intimidating woman who knows how to use a spear. LEE ( NPC. ) lee is the second in command and often deals with the issues of the villagers. broad-shouldered, hot-tempered, but compassionate and kind, he has a fondness for meat ... FARRAH. ( NPC. ) an older woman, she is filled with tales of the drabwurld and its creatures. she likes to sit around small fires and tell her scary stories to the children of azure. she wishes to marry sokka, if only to see him blush. she lost her husband to the malevolent spirit months ago. TAI. ( NPC. ) a young man, he is one of their most brilliant warriors. able to use almost any weapon, he is tall, broad shouldered, and in his late teens. JIA. ( NPC. ) a twelve year-old girl convinced she'll marry zuko, she often follows him around. she's kind and energetic, and often talks at the speed of light. she's fascinated by fire. (she has taken custody of trout, the cat.) DRUK. zuko's red dragon, he often is found deep within the forests of la llorona, within the azure borders. he is kept hidden and is a secret; there are rumours of a monster within quendi. the earth trembles beneath his snores. he is friendly and licks those he likes. NOTABLE FIGURES THOMAS. he always has his mouth hanging open, but it's not without a thought. helplessly assisting azure throughout the year, thomas is regarded as a solider and a man one can depend on. THRALL. a large, green man who comes and goes, thrall is loved among the villagers. given he looks like the late orcs who had defended the village against the spirits, they admire his work and his strength, and by the end of the year, have built him a large house upon the ground. WAN. the first avatar is a prominent figure within azure. well-loved and admired for his ability to bend all four elements, he is the one to thank for the walls that surround azure. the villagers often enjoy his energy. THE BLUE SPIRIT. no one aside from sokka and jia know the blue spirit is zuko. a vigilante who steals from the rich and gives to the poor, he is a figure from zuko and sokka's world that has made his debut into the drabwurld via azure ...

Azure is a village found on the outskirts of the Dead City of Quendi. Tucked away within the trees, a little path branches off the main road of La Llorona. About a twenty minute walk (if you're sight-seeing), an arch of vines will lead one to a little village that has been carved out of the forest. Surrounded by thick brush and the gnarly trees of La Llorona, Azure is a village made of wooden huts. It's very sparse with the basic essentials for living — wooden houses, wooden steps leading up trees to further houses, and depending upon the land to provide, they're a small village that keeps to themselves. The villagers of Azure had come across Zuko while he was walking along the main path of La Llorona. It is currently undergoing heavy fortifications and renovations to build its defense and it into a village of strength and comfort for its people — and to also ward away any spirits in the near future. For now, a fence made out of thick logs has been constructed around the border of the village and some of its surrounding area as per another investigation to ensure it was safe for the villagers to hunt, gather, walk, etc. from the malevolent spirit that had hunted them. The villagers have been asked to alert Zuko (or Sokka) for any trespassers or anyone with ill intent toward them. ooc note: i gotta revamp the fuck out of this page. EXPANSION

Over the year, Zuko is hoping to expand the village to cross over Quendi and encompass it, properly guarding it from malevolent spirits as well as ensuring the Dead City of Quendi is well-protected by the people who actually love its history and wish to see it remain where it is. The village will have a more obvious path branching off of La Llorona, with its characteristic vine arches hopefully leading the way to the village centre.

In the next year, he hopes to see the village expand into the mountains, if only for security and the like if it's to ever be under attack, as he realises that being based in trees and on the ground gives them a slight disadvantage. He wants all bases covered.

HOMES

In the current year, the homes are made of wood and are huts. Small and bare, they consist of two rooms, a living room and a kitchen combined. The huts are stacked on top of one another, are not incredibly sturdy, are drafty, and often cramped with the families that live together. After Sokka's ideas to expand upward, the people of Azure wish to see their homes grow bigger, more suitable for the winters and the summers, and to give their village a little flair in the real estate department.

The houses have been constructed over the year to spiral up sturdy trees. Poles are there to ensure the houses are properly supported, as well as any magic Sokka and Zuko have learned to guarantee the houses will not collapse or be easy to damage. They have been designed by the villagers themselves, and have been spread out across the village instead of having them live practically on top of one another.

The houses are well concealed within the trees. Some are up high, with spiral staircases crafted up the trunk of the tree, with some with mere simples staircases leading up to the house.

Wards are currently being put up and learned to ensure the utmost security for the villagers.

Until I add these to the visuals, the houses look much like this.

SPIRITS

The villagers have been victims to the spirits that haunt La Llorona. The village is currently in the process of being warded off by them. Sokka's artwork, as well as chimes, have been hung up in trees and splayed all around its border in hopes of some scary artwork may deter them. The village has been expanded after intense and thorough investigation to ensure that the borders of the village are not privy to spirits often preying on the villagers who hunt and tend to the land. Villagers aren't advised to wander past the log posts now outlining the village — and the stone walls constructed by Thrall ( NEEDS CONFIRMING ) are there to ward off villagers and residents from going past the walls.

ZUKO'S HOUSE

Zuko has chosen to reside in Azure while Caer Scima is being rebuilt. Despite wishing for the villagers to focus on their own homes, they chose to build him a large one in one of the most sturdiest and gorgeous of trees. Over an incredibly small, but deep, river near the Dead City of Quendi, Zuko's house is large and incredibly high up in the tree. It has a faint spiral staircase leading up from the ground before it morphs into a proper and thick path leading up to the house. It appear small on the outside, but the two-storey is large and spacious, with four rooms, a bathroom, and a spa located a drop below the house in the deepest part of the river. (It's a spa when Zuko swims in it, obviously). A ladder made of thick wood is often dropped into it the river, and Zuko climbs down from his balcony into the water below.

His is the finest house in Azure, despite his refusal to accept it.

FIREBENDING SCHOOL

Currently being built, this school is located on the ground. In honour of Toph, it has been constructed by the villagers in the later months of the year. It is still in the process of being built when we come back into gameplay, with its structure of wood already in place. The frame is large, the design is of a big, spacious building that is of two floors with the plans of large windows allowing the sun to come in at every angle. It is located near the mountains, far from Zuko's home and the Dead City of Quendi.

DRUK

Depending on what can happen with Druk, Azure begins to garner a reputation for a sleeping dragon in its midst. Anyone who comes to Azure is sworn to secrecy to keep Druk, Zuko's dragon, safe. Anyone who breaks this vow will no longer be welcome to Azure and will earn themselves an enemy.

OTHER

I'd love for Azure to grow as a village! It is welcome to anyone who knows Zuko or Sokka. Please note that your character is expected to contribute to the village over the years, regardless of how long their stay may be. Whether it's to build a proper fence around it, see to it it expands, building houses, training villagers, cooking and hunting, or any other possible thing your character could offer, it'll be credited to your character and remembered. Your character is welcome to a home in Azure! All I need is the details of what you'd like — it can be a ground house, as those do exist in the village, or a tree house. Just go here to leave me a note or contact me however you want so we can organise it!

Some brainstorming points:
- Someone to care for the village when Zuko is busy travelling with Sokka. (An appointed protector who will get in touch with Zuko asap if something goes awry. This is given to the villagers, but given they don't have lockets …)
- Sokka is officially appointed Chief. They have a gross ceremony.
- Thrall also earns a place because he's big and green and they're very grateful to him.
- Somehow need to brainstorm how to get the village off of paying tithes to a spire.
- Begin working on getting rid of the spirits. ( slow-burn )
- Begin warding the village ( slow-burn )
- Cooking, building, defending, fortifying.
