During the quiet year, Zuko will be focusing his efforts on fortifying Azure and essentially building it into a potential power hub for the future. Expanding it to over a good portion of Quendi, he'll be focused on building it's defenses, landscaping the village, severing it's ties to any spires or lords who the villagers owe tithes to, warding it from spirits, and working on building its economy. In essence, it will almost become like the Fire Nation. Unbeknownst to him, his efforts in attempting to give back to a village that has accepted him without hesitation will see him enter politics to the degree he would be involved in it as Fire Lord. When he isn't busy trying to give the people a life that they can be proud of, he is travelling the entirety of the drabwurld in hopes of learning it and its cultures, very similar to how he had known the ins and outs of his own world.
As for his public image, Zuko will be fractured into two. Known as the shard bearer who gives and gives and gives to the natives who show him kindness, Azure will become known through the whispers of being safe place for any shard bearer, Seelie or Unseelie, and any shardless native. He'll be building up his public image as a result of his involvement in Azure and his travels, becoming known as a kind leader who is as hot as the fire he wields and will come to be known as someone not to trifle with. On the other hand, the Blue Spirit will become more known, perhaps to the shardless population, as this vigilante becomes a Robin Hood for those who have little power and voice to stand up for themselves.
He'll be going into the new year as a confident leader. A natural progression, Zuko will become the Fire Lord he had never thought he could possibly be — strong, unwavering, and compassionate, he is a man who is known for his honesty, his kindness, and his fairness — and, of course, his ability to protect.
PLANS
AZURE » Beneath Zuko's hand, Azure expands itself along Quendi, encompassing a good portion of it and the city it guards. The wooden huts the villagers had once lived in are now sturdier and bigger; the village itself is akin to a small city with its infrastructure. Inside the city is the beginning of constructing ZUKO'S FIREBENDING SCHOOL, which, unlike Toph's in the future, is welcome for any, Seelie or Unseelie, as long as they swear neutrality, to be taught the art of firebending. Azure is becoming more akin to the Fire Nation than a simple village many would write off. ( MORE DETAILS )

THE BLUE SPIRIT BECOMES A VIGILANTE » Whether it be in Caer Glaem or Caer Scima, during the early months of the timeskip, the Blue Spirit from Zuko's world has come to The Drabwurld. Akin to a modern day Robin Hood, he stole from the rich and gave to the poor — anything that was thieved from those in his village was given back to them.
TRAVELLER » He will be travelling all over the world and will be learning every single slip of its culture in hopes of understanding and knowing it like the back of his own hand as he had with his own.
THE GRUMBLINGS OF A DRAGON » Druk remains hidden. Within the beginning of the depths of the Dead City of Quendi, he resides. He's grown bigger — not big enough to be the size of what he is in Zuko's future, but large enough to be noticed and even elicit fear in those who look upon him. He remains hidden, and is often taken outside during the night.
FIRE NATION » Travelling to the hotter destinations of the drabwurld, he'll inquire any fire wielder to teach him their understanding of fire, as well as their own culture. ( This probably means he'll be back at Mount Verla for some education, and may bring Druk. )
SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
Zuko will, over the course of the timeskip:
- garner himself a reputation of being a fierce fighter, an unwavering and compassionate leader, and a fire bug.
- work tirelessly on building Azure from the bottom ground up into a rich, powerful, and beautiful city.
- travel a good portion of the drabwurld and begin to form his own alliances. ( DETAILED MAP PENDING. )
- begin to train any in swordsmanship and wielding fire, but for a price, of course.
- practice using his shard to make himself stronger.
- learn more about Druk and see him grow.
- his fire will become hotter, more controlled, and perhaps even shift in colour ...
- develop closer relationships with existing CR, as well as begin acquainting himself with CR that will either be useful or damaging to him later on.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
| SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) |
- MARCH - Delivering the personal effects of the native slain, he will be all over Dorchadas during the first week. During the snowstorms that see many people freeze, Zuko will be carefully using his bending to thaw others. He'll be ensuring this is his utmost priority, and will be assisting Azure in keeping warm, and also those who require his help. Azure will begin expanding. He will be in Azure. During the third week, he will be with Saber and Johnny Storm in Briste.
- APRIL - Zuko will be an emotional mess and will refuse to sleep in fear of being haunted by that music once more. It's a great way to celebrate his 19th birthday on April 10. He will be in Azure.
- MAY - He will slay many swans and leave them on the doorsteps of those in Azure and Dorchadas. The Blue Spirit will come into play. He will be in Dorchardas, everywhere.

- JUNE - He will attend the summer tourney and participate in the duelling and melee. Rather than use his dual dao broadswords, he will be bending a blade and using that. He will be in Treun. When he returns to Azure, his house will have been built.
- JULY - The BLUE SPIRIT will make an appearance at Daonna. Zuko is very concerned about the area, and wishes to help. He'll be hoping to fight off these men using his stealth, his swords, his bending, and his lasso ... He will also go to Mount Verla with Wan to visit his old friends.
- AUGUST - He will attend the Festival of Lights in Leathann, and float a candle upon the river and let paper lanterns soar into the sky in honour of Ursa, Uncle, Mai, and those of the Avatar team who are not within the drabwurld. He will even bend a fireworks show for entertainment. He will visit the Sunsoak Markets in the Cothromach.

- SEPTEMBER - Zuko will attend the wreath festival in Treun and there is a 95% chance he will become drunk. He will then go near the Pool of Souls before returning to Azure.
- OCTOBER - He will attend Samhain and there is a 95% chance he will become drunk. If Samhain is the same as last year, he'll end up at Drabkeeper's Castle, the Witch Moors and The Great Greenwood from drunken wandering. He'll return to Azure.
- NOVEMBER - He will ensure the inmates do not come near Azure. He will track them down, but will not kill any. If he stumbles upon a prisoner who simply didn't pay his taxes, he will attempt to pay the debt off.

- DECEMBER - He attends Yule and gets drunk. 100% confirmed. He'll hunt the White Hart with Sokka, but he'll be serious this time. 80% means it.

- MARCH - He will decapitate any of the skeletons who come near him. Later in the month, he will hold a ceremony for them to honour them in the Spirit World and hope they find peace.
- APRIL - He's twenty. With his new found "maturity", he will search for the imps.

MARCH 10 ❚ if you knew what the bluebirds sang at you
[ unless, of course, they're travelling, and then he always has a strict timetable of when to be up and how many hours they should spend doing this and that before they retire for the night and do it all over again the next day. then again, he hadn't really put the schedule into effect during his travels with aang until it was crunchtime and there was only a week left until they needed to defeat the fire lord, but the point still stands. time is of the essence! sometimes... sokka is fully aware of when they have time to waste and when they don't, anyway — they can at least afford vacations and days of sleeping in every once in a while. ]
[ besides, it's not like anything particularly life-threatening or world-ending is happening right now. it's been pretty quiet since the big battle in february, and sokka has a feeling maybe it's because of the big battle and the quest zuko was given by queen morla that has him so worn out. whatever the case, sokka is a good friend, and good friends let their tired friends sleep. that, and isn't there some saying about not waking sleeping dragons? he doesn't really want to find out what would happen if he startled zuko awake. a fireball to the face does not sound like a pleasant way to start the morning. ]
[ he's not sure who the bird is from — it's obviously from one of zuko's friends, but sokka has no idea who "cassie" is. he realizes a bit too late that it might be rude to open zuko's mail, but cassie is definitely a girl's name and if this isn't the perfect material to make fun of zuko for, sokka doesn't know what is. of course, the contents of the letter aren't at all what he was expecting (not that he was expecting any kind of love letters or anything, because, you know, isn't zuko still hung up on mai?) and when zuko wakes, he'll hear the faint sounds of sokka sniffling nearby because this is unrequited love at its finest! it's heartbreaking! she loved him and never got to tell him! ]
[ it's a little like one of the plays he saw in ba sing se — which, admittedly, he thought would be really dumb but turned out to be an epic love story. and maybe sokka's just a romantic at heart; or maybe every story about two lovers separated in unfortunate ways tugs on his heartstrings because he's lived it himself. the moon is a reminder of the love he lost, after all. he's not sure what was going on with this cassie girl from zuko's point of view, but from cassie's ... well, sokka completely sympathizes. he'll at least try not to drop any tears on the letter itself — tears that are, you know, definitely being caused by allergies and not the letter he probably shouldn't be reading. sorry, zuko, he just couldn't help himself. ]
